Many web applications will ask for your MNA and many more ask the question "What is an MNA"?
An MNA is an MUSC Network Account. It is the identifier assigned to you, along with a password, that you use to access many MUSC resources. Typically, your MNA is the same as the part of your email address before the '@'. For example,
user@musc.edu
has the MNA 'user'.

WARNING
Many systems in use at MUSC do not honor the OCIO policy stating that MNA is the official MUSC login. For example, Groupwise email accounts, Lynx accounts, Oacis accounts, to name a few, are non-complient with MUSC policy. Groupwise users should ask the nearest IT person or call the ../MUSCHelpDesk. They can also complain bitterly that they have too many login/password combinations and encourage the owners of Groupwise, Lynx and Oacis to honor the MNA login standard.
If your given MNA does not work with an MNA-compliant MUSC resource, make sure you are using the correct password. Unfortunately, sometimes it is difficult to identify what login/password combination is required. For MNA compliant applications, typically the login message will state: Enter your MNA and password.
